Čejen Černić
Čejen Černić was born in Osijek, Croatia. She holds a degree in Film and TV Directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. Čejen has directed several short films, including the short fiction Followers, and short documentaries 'The Circle', 'To Me Without Me' and 'Il Postino'. Since 2007 she has worked as an assistant director on feature films and serials, documentary and animated films and a dance show associate. In 2013 she wrote and directed her first short animation 'The Girl Who Loved Fairy Tales' and in 2017 she directed her first feature narrative 'The Mystery of Green Hill' from the popular Koko serial, which earned her the best debut award at the 64th Pula Film Festival.
Olja Savičević Ivančević
Olja Ivančević Savičević was born in Split. She writes prose, poetry and newspaper columns. She has published several collections of poetry, prose 'Nasmijati psa' (2006), novels 'Adio kauboju' (2010) and 'Pjevač u noći' (2016), and picture books 'Šporki Špiro' i 'Neposlušna Tonka' (in association with Svjetlan Junaković, 2017). Her manuscript 'Nasmijati psa' won the Prozak prize for best prose author up to 35 years of age; she has also won the first Ranko Marinković Prize, awarded by Večernji list, for her short story 'Heroj', the Kiklop Award for her poetry book 'Kućna pravila' (2007) and T-portal’s prize for 'Adio kauboju'. Her prose works and poems have been translated in most European languages. Two award-winning shorts were based on her writing, 'Balavica' (2013) by Igor Mirković and 'Cherries' (2018) by Dubravka Turić.
Marjo Kovanen
Marjo Kovanen is the managing director of the Finnish cultural organisation Koulukino – Skolbio, which promotes and fosters film education, organises film screenings in schools, recommends titles for school curricula and provides training materials for teachers. The cultural organisation Koulukino also creates website content fostering parents’ media literacy and has established the virtual community Kelaamo for young filmmakers. A team of experts under their guidance has created Keys to Film, a charming and educational tool intended for film-related courses, as well as for all other forms of formal and informal discussions about film. A Croatian version was presented at the third KinoKino Festival. Kovanen is a PhD student at the University of Tampere, Department of Communications, Media and Theatre.
