In a town in north Senegal two young film lovers, Baba and Sembene, desperately want to see a film on the big screen before a local cinema closes down. They hatch a plan how to raise money for the tickets.

Senegalese director and a graduate of Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. He spent eight years in Africa, reporting as a video journalist. The film Samedi Cinema was screened at Venice and Toronto film festivals.
